Vital Information for New Players

If you're new to Ultimate Frisbee, or new to PADA, here's a good starting point for you to get acclimated to our organization.

Be sure to check out the following links. These are some pretty great resources for people interested in getting into Ultimate.

If you're looking to play in a PADA league this year, we suggest you sign up right away! Our leagues fill up rather quickly & you need to sign up in advance of the start of the leagues. Instructions for registering on our web site

Philly is famous for our Fairmount Park Summer League, which is one of the biggest summer leagues in the world & has been going strong since 1985. Over 900 players typically participate, from top players in the region to brand new athletes looking to learn the game in a semi-competitive atmosphere.

A few great league options for brand new players looking to learn the game are Mixed Spring League and UHLe Summer League aka Uhle's Hat League. For those of you looking to play ultimate in South Jersey or Chester County (near West Chester, PA), our South Jersey and Chester County Ultimate aka CCU summer leagues are excellent choices to learn the game. Women who are new to ultimate will also enjoy playing Women's Spring League, which starts in late March each year. With the exception of men's & women's leagues in the spring, all PADA leagues are co-ed (aka Mixed) & all players must be 16 or older.
